Root Mean Square (RMS) Amplitude attributes

Form the diagram above, have compared our original data and after applying RMS amplitude to our data. We can observe the differences at the upper part and lower part right of the seismic data. By using RMS amplitude attributes, the both part have higher amplitude compared to the original data. High amplitude in the upper part may indicate potential of gas. The lower part with high amplitude just represents the boundary in the seismic data. From RMS amplitude we know that if seismic data with high value of RMS thus it indicates us a Direct Hydrocarbon Indicator (DHI).
