Amplitude Versus Offset (AVO) gas indicator

AVO is to determine a rock’s fluid content, porosity, density or seismic velocity, shear wave information, fluid indicators (hydrocarbon indications). Advantage of being applicable to many conventional seismic data sets without the requirements of prohibitive acquisition, processing, and analysis costs.
Figure 1 shows the comparison of original data before and after applying AVO attributes at inline 1600. As we can see from above, the presence of gas is indicated by the red bright spots after applying the attribute.
